J. Adam Groves, CPA
Partner
Adam is a native Oregonian, born and raised in Prineville. In 2008, he moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he attended McNeese State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a Concentration in Taxation. Central Oregon beckoned him home and he moved back in the summer of 2014.
As a CPA at Azure Tax and Accounting, he works with clients to create long-lasting personal relationships. Business taxation as well as tax and retirement planning are his areas of interest.
Adam enjoys spending time outdoors with his family. Additionally, he loves cooking, traveling, and reading.
Adam is licensed to practice public accounting in Oregon.

Linda Saliu, CPA
Partner
Linda grew up in beautiful Bend, Oregon and graduated from Mountain View High School. She attended Northwest Nazarene University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. After graduation, Linda spent some time in Albania, where she ultimately met her husband, Genti. In 2008, Linda and Genti went to Kosovo and served with a non-profit for over four years. Her role there as bookkeeper revealed Linda’s ability with numbers and, upon returning to Central Oregon, she began taking accounting courses at COCC and OSU. After completing the Certificate in Accountancy with OSU, she began taking the CPA exams and earned her license in December 2017.
Linda loves spending time with her sons, Noah and Asher. She also enjoys movies, books, coffee, and hiking.
Linda is licensed to practice public accounting in Oregon.

Joanne Shackelford, CPA
Senior Tax Accountant
Joanne is a native Oregonian, coming to Bend from Southern Oregon and the Rogue Valley. Skiing, hiking, camping, and horseback riding drew Joanne to Central Oregon in 1984. Two adventurous sons and a husband who thrived on local sporting events provided involvement in groups such as Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Little League, American Legion Baseball, Grandma's House and many other local school and youth activities.
Joanne is a graduate of Linfield College and progressed into public accounting as a second career after many years of office management and private business accounting.
Joanne shares her spare time with her grandchildren and various rescued animals at her home near Sisters.
Joanne is licensed to practice public accounting in Oregon.

Leslie Hanson, CPA
Senior Tax Accountant
Leslie grew up in Hawaii and northern California. She graduated from University of California Davis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and then earned a Post Baccalaureate Accounting Certificate from Portland State University. She moved to Central Oregon in 2000 and has worked as a CPA in Bend since then.
Leslie enjoys working with businesses and their owners by assisting them with tax return preparation and planning, as well as helping them to simplify and improve their accounting procedures. She has worked primarily with business clients in the construction, real estate, hospitality, retail and healthcare industries.
Leslie’s favorite activities include hiking, traveling, reading, taking pictures and watching movies. She also enjoys volunteering at non-profit organizations that support child literacy or benefit animals. Leslie especially enjoys spending time with family and friends and her dog Fancy.

Trent Thompson, CPA
Senior Tax Accountant
Trent grew up in Sublimity, Oregon, and moved to Corvallis to attend Oregon State University. After living in Corvallis for over a decade, he moved to Bend in 2026 with his wife, Bonnie, daughter, Flora, and goldendoodle, Juni.
Trent earned his CPA license in 2023 and has experience working with high-net-worth individuals, small and mid-sized businesses, and trusts and estates.
When Trent's not working on taxes, he can be found on a walk with his family, checking out too many books at the library, enjoying a mug of coffee at a coffee shop, or listening to a baseball game on the radio.
Trent is licensed to practice public accounting in Oregon.

Suzanne Carlson, LTP
Tax Accountant, Operations Manager
Suzanne has lived in Oregon since 1996 and moved to Central Oregon in 2012. Her prior experience includes working as a Worker's Compensation Claims Examiner and administrative work in the medical field. After deciding on a career change, she decided to get back into an office environment and is now a licensed tax preparer.
Suzanne enjoys spending time at the lake with family and friends, kayaking, and exploring the local lakes during the summer. Fall is all about football, food, and good times with friends cheering on favorite teams.

Sihl Chung, LTP
Tax Accountant
Sihl was born in South Korea and moved to the island of Oahu, Hawaii when she was 5 years old. She graduated from the University of Hawaii, Manoa and after graduation she went to Korea for 9 months for the International Language Institute Program. She later moved to Southern California where she worked for an airline for nearly 10 years. In 2007, she and her family moved to Bend.
Sihl and Mark are now empty nesters and love to golf and hang out with their dog Coco. She enjoys traveling, reading and being together with her book club friends.
Sihl earned her Licensed Tax Preparer credential in 2024 and enjoys tax preparation for individuals and sole proprietors.

Bree Evans
Administrative Assistant
Bree grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana and northern California. She earned her bachelor's in psychology from the University of Idaho and a master's in education from California State University, East Bay. After spending 20+ years as a K-12 teacher and school principal, Bree was ready for a career shift and, given her love of mathematics and puzzles, decided accounting would be a great fit. Now Bree is actively engaged in completing accounting degree coursework and plans to obtain her Enrolled Agent licensure within the year.
When not at the office, Bree enjoys spending quality time paddleboarding, camping, traveling, concert-going, and playing games with her husband, daughter, extended family, and friends.

Mary Thompson, CPA
Accounting Specialist
Mary was born in Alexandria, Egypt, but immigrated to the United States with her family at just 9 months old. After spending the majority of her life in the Portland, Oregon area, Mary and her husband, Kyle, relocated to the Lake Billy Chinook area in 2018. She enjoys boating, reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She frequently travels to Boise to spend time with her daughter and grandson.
Mary is a graduate of Oregon State University and is a devoted Beaver football fan. Win or lose, she enjoys tailgating and the opportunity to catch up with old friends at the games. Mary is a CPA with experience in both public and corporate accounting. She handles many of the bookkeeping engagements at Azure.

Margaret Richardson, CPA
Senior Tax Accountant
Margaret Lives and works in College Station, Texas. During 2004, Margaret moved to Bend with her husband and began working in public accounting with many of our current clients. In May of 2007, they decided to return to Texas in order to be closer to family and allow Margaret's husband to attend Texas A&M Veterinary School. Prior to the move to Bend, Margaret worked at a Big 4 accounting firm, working with corporate and individual clients. Margaret has worked directly with businesses and their owners for tax and consulting needs.
When Margaret is not working, she is spending time with her husband and children. They enjoy just about anything outdoors.
